brand new letter just posted from britneyspears.com
Dear Fans,
I just wanted to reach out to all of you and explain some of the things that I have been faced with recently.
It's so funny how many stories are put out there about people. It's like we all want our side of the story out there as well, but at the end of the day only a few people care to hear what is really going on since the bad is always so much more interesting than the truth. I don't know why, but this is so weird to me. I used to be angry at the tabloids for printing horrible things about me, but now I try to just be numb to what I see. I saw Tyra Banks once get really upset and cry on her show because they made her look fat. We all want a certain image of ourselves out there, and at some point we all do really care what other people think or we wouldn't be here.
Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom. Till this day I don't think that it was alcohol or depression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD. I had a manager from a long time ago come in and try to direct me and my life after I got my divorce. I was so overwhelmed I think that I was in a little shock too. I didn't know who to go to. I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost.
This letter is to not place blame on anyone, although I do see the world with a completely different set of eyes now. Being in that vulnerable state and taken to dinners and parties with friends and finding out later you paid for everything was a huge learning lesson for me. I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life. You never know another persons intentions or what another person wants. I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with. I have had to cut so many people out of my life. It is so sad, because if anyone is a family person...it is me. When I was little I remember every night watching movies with my family and feeling so at peace. Dancing and singing all the time just like a little girl should. Now recently I find with my children that I want them to have that feeling all of the time. I am having to face a lot of things right now since I have children of my own. A lot of insecurities from when I was little are coming up again. It is like we are never good enough.
I know everyone thinks that I am playing the victim, but I am not and I hate what is going on right now so much. Maybe this is the reason for this letter...to maybe allow people to look at me differently. It is like when you are a real woman and say what you feel and how you think things are supposed to be, that people just say you are a "bitch."
I feel like some of the people in my life made more of some issues than was necessary. I also feel like they knew I was beginning to use my brain for a change and cut some ties, so they wanted to be in more control of my life than me. I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce. I think it was a bigger issue because I had not gone out in such a long time. I am 25 and I do still have a lot to learn, and I am going to make mistakes everyday, and I am sure every mistake I make will probably be on CNN or Good Morning America. I am only human people and I love you for still loving me.
I am sitting here at home and it is 6:25 and both of my sons are asleep. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Everyday is so surreal. Life in general is so surreal and crazy.
I just hope this letter made some of you think a little bit more of me and where I am coming from. I just want the same things in life that you want...and that is to be happy. It is just so weird because everyone has their own perception of me and how they think I really am. It is so weird how stories are told. There is your side, my side, and the truth. Somebody has to figure it out. I guess we will never really understand or figure out life completely. That's God's job. I can't wait to meet him...or her.
Love, Britney

ENCHANTED TRAILER
Finally, what I think will be one of the biggest hits of the Holiday season come the end of 2007- Enchanted. The newest of Disney's 2D animation and fairytale hits. But there is a twist. Most of it is live action! The dragon looks awesome- Susan Sarandon should be a good villain and I've loved Amy Adams since JUNEBUG. Anyway, see for yourself- I think a lot of love was put into it. It just looks a little weird and out of place in NYC but ...I think that's the point.
attack of the three's - Shrek 3 and Pirates 3 reviews
Seeing as both of these films really did nothing for me and their both third parts of trilogies- I decided to just kind of mash the reviews together. Yeah I've been away so I'm a little late in warning you and these movies have already stole your money but Pirates 3 hasn't done nearly as well as its predecessor and I'm glad - it means some people are smart and know that these sequels have been awful. Anyway Shrek 3 was better than Pirates 3. Shrek the Third isn't even all that bad. It's not as big as the other ones but it has a cute little story about Shrek having to become King and not wanting to. He goes on a long search to find little King Arthur who is the only other person who could be a successor. Princess Fiona gets her time to shine in this one- I was laughing so much with her and some of the other princesses. Hahaha "I got you the biggest one cuz I love you the most." Amy Poehler stole the show as Snow White. Also the Shrek babies and Dragon babies were really cute and funny. It's nothing special but it is worth seeing if you've seen the previous two, just simple summer fun. Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End was just awful. I mean seriously- now I'm not one who needs a linear story and plot but its just a mess. Granted I did hate part 2 also but I thought maybe all the good stuff was saved for the third. No wonder Keira wasn't at the premiere- probably embarassed. She was in this a lot more but was just annoying to me until the end when she looked gorgeous. Speaking of the end, it is very good. A little cliche when a big bold move by the story ends up not being exactly what we thought it was, killing the drama. But come two hours late and you'll enjoy the last hour which isn't all that bad. Also Davy Jones entertained me a lot more this time around! But I'm sorry- couldn't stand Calaypso. Anyway....see at your own risk- I guess if you liked Part 2- you will like this since it's a tad better. Otherwise, stick with pretending they never continued after part 1.

Trailer: I KNOW WHO KILLED ME
Before I talk about the trailer I want to say that I genuinely feel bad for Lindsay. It would be hypocritical of me to make fun of her especially after my beloved Britney was going through just as serious (not so criminal) issues a few months back so I give her all my love. After all, we are only one day apart in age. Get better! I hope people still see this movie...it doesn't look bad but following her string of bombs I don't see it really doing well in such a busy summer. But if it's good, the critics will say so. Plus, intersted to see her in a thriller.
I'm back!

Matthew Mcaugh4eneheyyy is a freak.
^^ Sorry didn't feel like trying to spell that. He creeps me out but atleast he is apparently filming on the set of SURFER DUDE although I doubt this- I'm sure he is supposed to be filming and he just ran away screaming like a monkey into a tree to do his crazy exercises and they are trying to get him to calm down and come back to set.

New Cd's I've listened to: Avril and Linkin Park
Avril Lavigne: The Best Damn Thing- Um yeah wasn't too crazy about this album simply because she became so known for some of her darker songs in recent years and this album is mainly fluff save for one dark song called "Innocence" that I can't stop playing on my ipod because she perfectly channels her emotions into the song and the lyrics are awesome and of course "Girlfriend" is still as catchy as ever but otherwise the rest of the CD is blah to me.
Linkin Park- Minutes to Midnight- Also here we have music that goes against normal style, many more mellow songs that usual but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Any fan should have this on thier shelf because critics can't sway your opinion without buying it. Or atleast get these- Must Downloads: Bleed it out, Leave out all the Rest, Shadow of the day, No more Sorrow, In Pieces (My personal fave) and The Little things give you away.

Britney in Orlando
*DHW SPOILERS* DONT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT
Though I'm not a tv person so I doubt I'll catch any other of the season finales (Though the LOST one looks pretty crazy) After watching the final season three episode of desperate housewives I was blown away, saddend, in shock! It was insane, such a build up - the show was funny and exciting especially with Bree (Marcia Cross) back and other interesting subplots but overall nothing to write home about even in the last minute..I was telling myself- this is it? But then it happend, the last 5 seconds blew our minds! Edie hung herself!!! (For those that don't know- she is technically one of the main stars/housewives of the show) Now will the writers be cheap and somehow write it up as a dream? Or someone saves her in time? Who knows but that was creepy!
Suspiria Remake
Here is some info on this from Joblo.com :
Just as the legendary and influential 1977 horror flick SUSPIRIA is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary at the Cannes Film Festival comes word that an English-language remake is in the works. David Gordon Green (ALL THE REAL GIRLS) is in talks to direct the film from a script by Scott Heim (MYSTERIOUS SKIN). For the uninitiated, Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA is a horror classic and follows a young girl who travels to Germany to study ballet. Upon her arrival she witnesses a number of mysterious deaths and begins to suspect all is not as it seems as her new academy. But don't just take my word for it - horror guru Arrow in the Head gives it 4 stars and Entertainment Weekly put it at #18 on their list of the scariest movies of all time. Green is currently finishing up the Seth Rogen/James Franco comedy THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS and, if a deal is reached, could make SUSPIRIA his next film. So: a SUSPIRIA remake a good idea or tarnishing a legend?
---------Though almost all remakes lately have just been incredibly awful- as i'm still dreading zombie's 'halloween' remake- There were a few that weren't too bad (Ex: The Hills Have Eyes... but then of course they had to follow it with an awful sequel) Anyway, I actually think this is a good idea, if only because it would bring attention to the original. The original is one of my favorite movies, it stays with you, takes you somewhere else and to be honest I kind of can't watch it all the way through by myself. So yes, if this was done right I think it would be awesome to see this story redone. We'll see....

Stardust Trailer
Stardust is a new fantasy film coming out.
This looks quite good and well done. Opens in August. I must say, I've read the book and it seems as though a lot has been added/changed because to be honest I thought the book was quite simple. Oh well enjoy!- Michelle Pfiefer looks wonderful as the witch-queen! Claire Danes also stars.
Waitress
(9/10)
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFULLLLLL!
Yes, finally an excellent movie in time for summer when almost everything coming out is made just to steal your cash- give your money to this little gem! This movie has the potential to be a pretty big hit if the word of mouth starts to begin.
Keri Russell plays Jenna, a sweet, tough but completely vulnerable young waitress who makes pies to soothe her soul when nothing else in her life is going her way. She has been saving up money to plan her escape since she can't stand being married to her awful, abusive husband Earl(Jeremy Sisto). At the diner she works at, her two close friends- Becky and Dawn (Played by Cheryl Hines and the late Adrienne Shelly who also directed the film) keep her spirits up during the day before she must return to the life at home she doesn't want. When an unexpected pregnancy comes her way, her dreams are shattered, but could a grouchy old man, her doctor and a little bit of hope give her the courage to make a fresh start?
Nearly flawless and never forceful in all its comedic aspects- this movie is funny and I was laughing from start to finish. The colors and simplicity of the film let you enjoy everyone in the cast. All the parts stand out whether big or small. The witty script is also a heart-tugger and the balance between romance, drama and comedy flow together perfectly like the ingredients of a delicious pie. The movie will have you questioning your own life and what you are content with. Are we happy enough?
Keri Russell gives the best performance of her career to date and still being at a young age of thirty- I'm sure it is finally her time to get some great roles and shine. This is oscar worthy stuff. Also Doctor Pomatter played by Nathan Fillion is exceptional. The chemistry between him and Keri is perfectly awkward and suitable to their relationship. Veteran Actor Andy Griffith also shines in his role of Old Joe, the owner of the diner who lives to pick on Jenna.
This movie could brighten anyones day and I can't wait for it to spread around the country because it will bring laughs and tears to all those watching. I loved this movie and applaud it for not taking the easy way out when time came to conclude our story.
**Adrienne Shelly, director and co-star of Waitress was tragically killed back in November of 2006 just after the film finished wrapping, it's just an awful story and at first its eerie to see her on screen but thats the world of this movie, we are able to see how talented she really was and what future in film she could of had. **

More mini-B-tour
Just got word that Britney will be performing in New Orleans on the 19th, and in Orlando on the 20th (Most likely at House Of Blues again). Dates and locations are subject to change, as always. You heard it here first!

** Great, I don't get to Orlando til the 24th- lets hope for a change of date!
28 WEEKS LATER
(7.5/10)
Well now that I have officially got my hearing back I'm able to concentrate on writing this review. Really, this movie was WAYYY TOO LOUD!! But that was a small price to pay because overall, in an age of crap sequels, this one really delivers the goods. Not long after the events of the original- people are slowly making their way back into Britain but only certain areas are allowed to be inhabited. Two children -Tammy and Andy (Played wonderfully by newcomers with insane names- Mackintosh Muggleton and Imogen Poots) set off on a quest for survival when its discovered that their blood may contain an immunity to the zombie virus- their parents are also involved but really I'd rather not give much of the plot away because this is one of those flicks that seems to better without much knowledge or what is going on.
Now another complaint that I have is the gore. I'm not one to be bothered by it and I wasn't and I know that zombie movies are pretty much gore territory but this one pushed the limit- sometimes it was just excessive. But the pace was nice and I was never bored. The same music score from the original is present and really gets your heart pounding. The film is also brisk and short at 99 minutes.
There is not much else to say. The original was more unique, quieter and more intimately scary. Also, I'm not sure if this one had some alternate endings like the original- in this day and age when war is so prevelant and these films are certainly symbolically getting messages across about war- we ask the question- are we going to be okay?
Sequels always go bigger- think Aliens and sometimes it works, and this does work- so fans should check it out. Bring on part three.

So whaddya think about Paris going to jail for 45 days?
Thats one reason I do love this country- money won't necessarily save you from getting fair punishment, the sad thing is I'm sure Paris has learned her lesson already without having to now serve the real deal but maybe she'll finally grow up. Well, rumor has it you did a bang up job on Britney which lead her to rehab so...what goes around comes around? Oh, thats harsh.
no child left behind....
I was watching coverage on tv about Britneys recent House Of Blues performances, and they interviewed a female fan who was up front at the last show Britney did, and she said "her son was in the crowd and she .. you could see how happy she was! The whole entire time she kept looking at her son!"

SPIDERMAN 3
(8/10)
Well here we go....let all the backlash begin because it is certainly starting but I, personally, don't have the same disapointment. By a third part of any series- I think it is safe to say that a movie is made to satisfy the fans and the fans only BUT , when a film is being released in 4200 theatres, cash will be coming out of everyone's pockets not just the fans of the movie.
Spiderman 3 is a lot more intimate than the others. We really get to dive deep into the characters minds and see sides of them we didn't see before, especially weaknesses. And I loved that aspect. I loved new friendships that were made and nice comic touches and it certainly was amazing seeing Peter Parker be quite the badass for a part of the movie since we all have a dark side.
Villians: Well Venom looked amazing and scary but once he morphs into Topher Grace you can't help but kind of chuckle- the boy is too dorky to be playing such a serious villian and Venom doesn't even come into play til very late into the movie and I think his followers will be vastly dissapointed. On the other hand, I really liked how they did Sandman(Thomas Haden Church) and connected him to the original film- we are able to get a glimpse of his life and actually feel sorry for him because in the end the moral of this film is forgiveness at all costs.
Performances were all fine by me- Kirsten Dunst seems to be getting tired of playing damzel in distress but she is always beautiful and charming. Tobey is just devilishly fun in this movie and don't miss his "bad ass hair doo" haha. Also, I have NEVER EVER liked Bryce Dallas Howard- I hated her movies, I don't think she is pretty but um....way to go you have a fan in me- I think she is simply gorgeous in this movie!
The plot seemed simple enough which was fine but there was too many foreced coincidences- I know this is comic book world but still- you can only accept "Oh, he just happend to be there?" for so long. A cameo from Raimi-alum Bruce Campbell really steals part of the movie- he is hilarious!!!!
So overall I'm not really telling anyone to not see this movie because it was made with lots of love and deserves support. But if their going to have another one- their really going to have to blow our minds because this one just kind of sugarcoats around the edges, less action- more mushy gushy but sometimes I like mushy gushy.

Saw Dirty Dancing on the big screen last night.
I was skeptical at first but it was real fun to see this campy classic back on the big screen! They should do this with movies more often! People were clapping and cheering and genuinely enjoying themselves. I wasn't even one year old when the original came out but this event gave me the opportunity to feel like I was back in 1987!
SPIDERMAN 3 TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT
Very exciting- I'll be sure to have a review up for everyone in the morning. Have a good day ya'll.
Brit suceeds a second night in a row.
She continued her mini-tour in Anaheim and I've heard nothing but goodness! Fans who complain are stupid and ungrateful. Anyway here is a nice excerpt I found from a Kelly Clarkson interview.
Kelly Clarkson Comments On Britney
Radio DJ: Never Again is about your experiences in life, how can Britney Spears turn her experiences, turn them around and make a hit record?
Kelly: Oh I mean, honestly, that girl, everyone makes fun of her and picks at her, everyone wants her to succeed, that's why she's still around, she's one of the sweetest people I've ever met in the business, like everyone is rooting for her, no one wants to see her fail, I think people just want to have someone to talk over the next morning at breakfast.
Radio DJ: Yeah but come on! when you found she shaved her head....
Kelly: No I found out and I was on camera.
Radio DJ: Yeah I saw that and you were like no way! and then you went over there and you were like "oh my gosh! she really shaved off all her head".
Kelly: Yeah well whatever, but I do know some friends that have gone through some really hard issues in their life and one of the things, like one of them she did shave her head because it was kind of like starting over, she had all this hair but she shaved it off, but it's kind of like one of the typical ways she could help herself along and like starting over so, I don't know, and it's really hard! That girl, I mean y'all gotta admit, she's grown up, like I had a life, I had a normal life and then I became like whatever in the limelight, and it's a hard thing, especially if you're not surrounded by the right people, which I don't know if she is or not, but it can get reallyy lonely really fast and I don't know, I think definitely..I can talk about my experiences in life and there's so much to talk about and with her, you know she's obviously going through some stuff and she's got kids and a lot of crap on her shoulders and she's only like.. 26
Radio DJ: I know!
Kely: So yeah I think everyone's rooting for her and she's working with a lot great people for her next record, I'm rooting for her, I hope she does really well and I've always been a fan so, it's just so hard, people give her such a hard time, she didn't grow up in a normal enviroment.
Radio DJ: I hear ya.
