Britney lookin some gooooood.
Here is a pretty picture of Britney out at a Lakers game last night. She really looks bright and fresh, the best everyone has seen her in awhile. Also, in album news and thanks to Ubritney.com :On Showbiz Tonight, Ken Baker from Us Weekly was on there, saying that Jive is still pushing for a fall release; and from he hears, the album is "very good" and in its final stages of being finished.
They also mentioned people are fascinated with her and want to hear her music because she does have a story to tell.
They also discussed some positive points of Britney's rehab. They said she's getting in shape and looking great as well! It was a good, positive segment! Y'all should be happy. Credit: SeeDeezShackles.

D + S usually = Oscar gold and real gold$$$$ .
28 WEEKS LATER....
SPIDERMAN 3! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
RATATOUILLE
This years DISNEY/PIXAR extravaganza comes in a tiny rat-sized package this year with RATATOUILLE. After viewing the newest trailer I do have to say it does not look as exciting as the past two - The Incredibles and CARS but I don't see how they can go wrong- its a nice little story and I love the french setting- but will kids be entertained? Check it out for yourself...
ok forget vacancy cuz....
WIND CHILL LOOKS BANGIN...granted the end of the preview kind of leaves something to be desired...cheesy freeze frames much? But Emily Blunt is a fine actress and made a name for herself in 2006, also the snow setting just looks haunting and beautiful a la the shining. We'll see-- it opens April 27th- odd release date for a winter based film. CHECK OUT THE PREVIEW

VACANCY TRAILER
Okay, lets admit it- Kate Beckinsale is hot, Luke Wilson is cool but...don't they always seem kind of boring and playing the same character? Who knows ...but it sure is cool to see two moderately big stars playing in a dark horror/thriller- kind of has a 'Joyride' feel to it. Check out the trailer for yourself - I think I'll be there watching that weekend- Due out April 20th.
Britney doing ok?
I'm still kind of iffy on thinking Britney is just all better like that but she was in there for a long time and something in her mind had to surface, all kinds of rumors floating around- I am personally just waiting to hear from her directly (meaning a letter from her to the fans). Best wishes though! Lookin cute!
Johannson and The Nanny Diaries
Ok this movie looks better, granted it has the 'devil wears prada' feel to it with Linney being sort of the villain. Scarlett Johannson plays a nanny to a rich inner city family and hilarity ensues I guess. She hasn't impressed me much lately but hopefully this flick can win me back. Alicia Keys and Chris Evans (Fantastic Four) costar as well.
Release Date: April 20th
Whats up with Georgia Rule?
I am kind of let down by the GEORGIA RULE trailer. The movie just looks typical and more cheesy than cute- but who knows. Jane Fondas last attempt at a comeback succeeded financially but Monster in Law sure was one of the worst movies I had ever seen. With Felicity Huffman and Lindsay Lohan rounding out the cast- things could go only be good right? Well, we'll see- LiLo does look real hot in it.

a trilogy crammed May?
Can you believe it?- The third installments to some of the most successful franchises of all time hit the theatres this May starting with Spiderman 3 on may 4th (where my heart really is), then Shrek the third on the 18th and then finally to make a bang on memorial day weekend comes Pirates 3: At Worlds end ---- so much money is going to be made its going to be sick! But will one fail to really do well? We'll just have to see.... Harry Potter is smart for waitin around til later in the summer.

Grindhouse!
For whoever saw 300 this weekend, you probably saw a trailer attached for GRINDHOUSE and it may or may not have confused you. Well Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodrigeuz have teamed up again for an old school throw back to the kind of movies they remember growing up to. The mindless, gruesome and overly sexual films that were always shown in grindhouses across America (Apparently, not one exists anymore) But they both made seperate short movies that are going to be showed back to back DOUBLE FEATURE STYLE. Rose Macgowan and Mickey Rourke lead the casts in Planet Terror and Death Proof. It's going to be fun watching these flicks, sex and violence just for no reason haha. Here's hoping they pulled it off.

fergie fergggggg
as some of u may know, i used to love fergie esp with BEP(saw them twice, once first row and another time second row) but lately i havent been the biggest fan of her as a solo artist but this video really opened my eyes. i love how heartfelt it is... showing that shes still like she used to be and surely thinks of old times and her old friends. sometimes a song is enhanced by the video and in this case - its glamorous. so yeah suprised at myself but complaints aside--check it out cuz its real...word.
THE HOST
(10/10)
Finally, a movie that actually lives up to its hype. The Host is an exceptional film and although its still quite early, I can tell you in ease that this will certainly be making my top 10 of the year come december. The film begins very fast and we are along for the ride the whole way as we watch a family fight to save their daughter(or grandaughter, niece...whoever she is pertaining to the family!) from an unstoppable monster. Of course there are underlying themes of pollution and america's connection to foreign countries but the director does not throw that in your face too much, save for a couple of scenes. What we have here is an original film that touches on so many different genres. Sometimes with the subtitles it is hard to read humor, but it's obvious that some of this is meant to funny. Funny because it's so real, the way the family interacts, who by the way are played by some of the most likeable actors i've seen in a long time. It's nice to not have a single character that bothers you. Drama, Comedy, Tragedy, Horror flick, whatever you call it- this movie is it! Though not as scary as advertised- it sure is gripping and the creature is a sight to look at it! I was very touched by this movie, such a rare feat for this genre, but this isn't like the others anyway like I mentioned. Sometimes the movie is so exciting and heavy on energy that any scene of down time seems to just be a drag, but those scenes were necessary and that was not the movie's fault, it's just so good. Finally, the unpredictable climax will leave you breathless and drained. I would compare this to James Cameron's Aliens, which is a huge compliment. A must see, especially on the big screen. Laugh, cry, scream with THE HOST.
***I just want to say that in a time where so many bad horror movies come out, it is nice to see the latest slew of ones that pack somewhat of a psychological/emotional wallop like Hostel, The Descent and now this one. Come on hollywood, keep this up.

Reno:911 Miami!
(5/10)
Having been a fan of the show in the earlier years, I was super excited when I saw the trailers for this movie. Wanting to like a movie always ends up being the worst while viewing and realizing that what you're seeing is simply a missed opportunity. The movie clocks in at just about 75 minutes so you might as well be watching two or three episodes off tv. The scenes drag and repeat themselves often. Also, as was the case with me seeing South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut- On the small screen, having the language bleeped out always made it more funny for me, knowing what was probably said as opposed to hearing it. I will say the first half of the movie has the majority of the highlights- its certainly cool to see these characters in a different location but things slowly become forced. I was engaged all the way through sure, but was I laughing? Not much at all. But hey, the movie is harmless - it's just not worth the theatre price- which would mean you should wait til its on tv! Which would mean it should of stayed on tv.
interesting fact- Thomas Lennon (Lt. Dangle) must be rolling in dough, I had no idea he was a writer and responsible for the huge blockbuster "A Night At the Muesam". He also wrote - "The Pacifier", "Lets go to Prison!" And "Taxi".

Suspiria!
boredom led me to make this thing which now i think is a mistake cuz its creeping me out! Suspiria has always been one of my favorite movies and literally terrifies me beyond belief- watching it alone is a must! The story follows Suzy Banyon, an american girl who comes to a prestigious ballet academy overseas only to slowly find out that the place may be a witches coven! Will Suzy be consumed by the madness or find the strength to uncover the secret and escape alive? .... ull just have to see it for urself!

ZODIAC
(8/10)
I'm glad I didn't go into this movie knowing much about the real life facts but I do not even have to question the facts because this movie is so well done and realistic that I can tell that most of this is close to 100% accurate. In a time where almost all movies have "based on a true story" attached to the trailer- its nice to see a film that actually MEANS it. The movie contains one of the best all male ensembles i've ever seen (save for the departed........of course) but anyway, no single star outshines the other- the lead roles respectably are Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal - but Dermot Mulroney has some time in the there and the scene-stealer on a number of occasions for me was the one and only Dr. Green!! Okay okay...Anthony Edwards. So the story follows Robert Graysmith, a cartoonist, who throughout the first half of the movie is shown as so inferior to everyone else, rightfully so, but for some reason he is the only one who has the energy and drive to never give up on tracking down the killer, even if it means sacrificing his already screwed up family life and his own growth from a boy to a man. Some graphic and brutal killing scenes begin the film but after that this movie becomes much less a thriller and more of a character study into the minds of these detectives/cops/suspects/witnesses whose lives become warped. Obsession is a key theme in this movie, without spoiling much, anyone who knows how this story really did unfold will get the vibe that this movie could keep going and going, clue upon clue. Director David Fincher keeps us hooked and never bored but people expecting tons of action that his other movies have provided will be sorely dissapointed so I warn you- go into this movie knowing that its dialogue-driven and I think you'll enjoy it much more because its good....its just not THAT good. Anyone have any animal crackers?
little children actually in baltimore today!
LITTLE CHILDREN starring Kate Winslet which she was oscar nominated for and it was also nominated best screenplay and best supporting actor has FINALLY opened around here. Its downtown at the charles, the movie has had a real bad press compaign though which is a shame since it had excellent reviews and stuff- new line cinema just blows. anyway the movie is awesome and i suggest if u can- try to go see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(i was lucky enough to see it a few months ago in dc). this movie hasn't left my mind since i walked out of the theatre.
**zodiac review up later tonight-
i may see black snake moan but as the days go by more negative reviews keep surfacing.

enchanted! yes more disney.....
I just wanna call it right now- this movie is going to be HUGE. The first 2-D Disney Semi-Princess Romantic Comedy in well over 10 years! Not since Lilo and Stitch has Disney succeeded in the 2-D territory. The movie stars the lovely Amy Adams who is slowly becomeing a big star- also appearing is Patrick Dempsey(Grey's Anatomy) and love of my life- Idina Menzel(Rent, Wicked). The twist here though is, its not all animation -half the film is live action! I hope the best comes out of this production and we will see it this coming holiday season!
ok its a long time for now....
