Mariahs new stuff....

I really did not like one single off her last "comeback" album...I mean..she def did well with it but it wasn't my style. I tried out the tracks from brand new album---E=MC2 and its not bad at all. The highlights are "O.O.C" , "Lovin U Long Time", "Bye Bye" and "Migrate" ...so download those and for the record- I didn't like "Touch My Body" much.

OMFG...lol---GOSSIP GIRL RETURNS MONDAY NIGHT AT 8PM ON THE CW!

I can't believe I ended up falling in love with this show. I'm super excited for it to be back. Should be great, if you haven't watched this show yet- you are totally missing out.

In other TV NEWS:

The Office has returned to a fairly funny season. Desperate Housewives was quite over the top but still enjoyable.

It's time to get back in shape ya'll!!!

Haha cool Britney rumors:

---a Ballys total fitness endorsement!

--- a small Blackout tour in the works!

Ew ...a book?!

Haha..I used to be like that too but after just gifting this to someone and hearing their massive and positive response- I have to post about it on here. NINETEEN MINUTES by Jodi Picoult is one of the best books I've ever read. I finished it about a year ago, it was ironically released right during the midst of the VT massacre (a year already...wow!). It is a tough book, but one to be read and devoured. Please read it- it touches base on all the drama that goes along with a school shooting- and gives a positive message that could help us all understand why these things happen and also help us to prevent it. I highly suggest you give it a shot, you won't be able to put it down.

Hey Everybody!

I've been so busy--I feel like I always say that--but I have been.....anyway.....I graduate soon plus I'm performing in CABARET up at my college right now and have other stuff in the works before I can really get back to all this and enjoying my summer and saving some money!! Some cool comedies (Harold and Kumar 2, Baby Mama) are coming out soon so expect reviews of those! Also, Renee Zelwegger is shooting a film here in Baltimore this summer so I will try to find out all I can about that and maybe get some work as an extra. But hope you are all enjoying this awesome weather and the spring season!

The Ruins

(8.5/10)
Ahhh. Okay well I'm surprised I even went and saw this but whats weird is that usually I can always tell if a movie won't get screened to critics. But this one looked good and more professional- yet it didn't have early screenings which usually is bad news. I've got to the point that with atleast just this genre (horror) ...you have to see them for yourself and that is just what I did here and I am glad.

Five friends on vacation in Cancun decide to switch up their lazy beach days and suddenly end up on a tourist trap of sorts on a haunted mayan temple of ruins. Havoc ensues when the village people of the area will not let them leave since once you've touched the temple- you are cursed. Sounds confusing, kinda is, but as always- need to suspend some disbelief. I will say that overall acting was not its best but everyone had shining moments here and there- the consistent talent, and rightfully so, with the most detailed resume under her belt was Jena Malone (Into the Wild, Saved!).

This movie is not for the weak-stomached! I consider mine strong but even I was getting sick, woo- it's just not pleasant with barely any comic relief. It's just a different and unique story- no supernatural, no serial killers-- just human nature and mother nature gone apeshit. Apparently, fans of the book are disappointed in the authors decision for so many drastic changes but he claimed "I thought the readers could have a surprise when they watch the movie."- Basically, I agree...more often than not- fans of books ALWAYS complain and books are ALWAYS better. Who knows...anyway- the movie rushes to a conclusion that will leave you breathless- literally! I was breathing heavy and so scared- because this movie is so unpredictable- not until the final second do you know how it will end. I've never felt so unsafe but I was very satisfied.

I fear this will fall off the radar soon but...give it a shot- it will creep you out big time.

Anyone else sick of DVDs now?

Honestly, you can't walk into the store anymore without the new releases having the regular edition ( usually $15 to $20) and also the special edition ($22 to $30) -- you almost wonder how they didn't think of the ploy before, it was used to be much more subtle. It's not fair cuz I always end up going ..."Okay well..I don't really need the special features...so let me save a few bucks for the chic fil a)

PARTY PEOPLE!

I've always liked Nelly. IMO opinion Country Grammar was one of the best albums ever and it really takes me back to the early years of high school. Anyway, I hope he can make a mini comeback with his new song "Party People" feat. Fergie- its fun and I have no problem with those two. So check it out, right now it just sits at #50 on the Itunes top 100. Oh but yeah the song is fun and hot I think!

And download "Break The Ice" while you're at it! The video is out now as well! Britney may be getting praise upon praise for her TV guest spot but no one knows about this amazing song!

other music:
-I'm gonna try and pick up Panic! At the Disco's new cd today ...let ya know.

who else looks this flawless at 46?

Happy Birthday.

They're engaged.

Whoop dee doo... :-\ haha no no thats good.

Britney rescues 'mother' from potential cancellation!

The highest ratings ever happend last night when Ms. Spears guest starred on the show and guess what? She is getting posititve buzz which is such a refreshing change! Love it and love her. Check out the cutest picture of her from the funniest scene she had...and incase you missed it--start youtubin'!

ps- Brit was at a recording studio yesterday...whats she up to?!

Happy Easter!

Enjoy the day.
See ya later.
Eat some candy.
Praise some Jesus.

Miss Guided

New show produced by Ashton Kutcher I think who also guest starred along with Jamie Lynn Spears in the new episode- there have been 3 so far believe...they are playing 2 a night and I think the strike had something to do with it. It's cute but very hit and miss- sometimes you're laughing out loud and then you're shaking your head because you're baffled by some of the poor writing. I'll keep watching though cuz after nearly 10 years of supporting roles- it's cool to see Judy Greer shine as her own. Give it a watch over at www.abc.com - so far, the pilot was the strongest episode. Oh the premesis is about a woman who returns to the high school she went to and becomes a guidance consuelor- the catch? She was a huge huge loser in HS and still has confidence issues with everything.

* Chris Parnell was SNL is the vice principal I think and he is a spot-on toolbag, its hilarious.

Oh I didn't even mention this did I??

I'm not a complainer and I actually think the video is quite cool- I just hate seeing this song go to waste it has so much potential- this absolutely CANNOT happen for "Toy Soldier" but we will see maybe Break The Ice will pick up- download it if you havent!

1 day til Britneys big return to TV!

I hope she does SNL soon that'd be so fun...she hasn't been to the east coast in a long time though...lol what time does the show even come on hmmm hold on (checking the internet.....)

Oh okay. 8:30pm CBS!

TV IS RETURNING SOOOOOON

I mean...TV is ok I guess..
The new entertainment weekly features all the hot news on the shows coming back! All spread out through april watch out for Gossip Girl, The Office and Desperate Housewives among others! Woop!

what is this Nims Island all about?

I know its a kids movie but I see anything with Jodie and 300's Gerard Butler is on board so maybe itll be cute and fun?

unfortunatly- it comes out the same day as LEATHERHEADS and The RUINS (how scary does that look?!?!) 2 other potential good hits! we'll see--- im excited save that date! APRIL 4th!

David Archuleta

Kids still rockin it good. He messed up a few weeks ago and it was so funny lol but I felt bad but it was cool cuz it shows he isn't perfect..he is still the one to beat!

Sleeping Beauty comes out of the vault...

Wow time flies and Disney sure knows how to make money...finally receiving it's much-deserved Platinum Edition treatment and the first of the sort to get Blu-Ray..this lands on DVD OCT 7th! My fave of them all! I saw this advertised with the new ENCHANTED Dvd which I suggest you all rent- it's a fantastic one of a kind disney blockbuster.

4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days...

not in the mood to review this and i dont even know if it merits one since it was more of an experience. 2 girls try to sneak an abortion during romania in the 80s just tense and gruesome and i dunno quite artisitic- it won the palm d'or so i had to check it out. i dunno!! blahh anyway the coolest thing about is that it is in the theatres but u can watch it if u have comcast on demand with IFC on demand - so cool...PARANOID PARK is also available, the new Gus Van Sant so i'll prob check that out too.

Britney Update -- big time!

Ok so by now you probably heard that she is going to be guest starring on the popular sitcom- HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER on Monday and all the buzz has been pretty good so far! Take a look at the clip...I think she is quite funny, smart and great!

I can't really express how excited I am for her..I hope she keeps moving on up!

Also, if anyone caught SOUTH PARK?! How brilliant was the episode about her? Try to watch it on youtube or wherever you can - so insightful, meaningful, I was shocked...those may have looked forward to an episode of Britney bashing and behold it was an episode of bashing Britney bashers...hmmm :)

I've been lazy on the blog...what else is new!?

Sorry guys I really am so busy but there are tons of movies coming out (good looking ones finally) that I am excited for plus Britney....AINT TOO CRAZY NO MORE! :)

The 80th Annual Academy Awards

Well...with the writers strike having ended just recently- there was not much time to get stuff together but I was not complaining as I enjoyed the montages throughout BUT I do not think Jon Stewart was funny...at all. The big suprises were Tilda Swinton winning Best Supporting Actress for Michael Clayton but hey didn't I call it?..kinda.. and also I was SOOOO HAPPY Marion Cotillard won Best Actress for the little-seen movie La Vie En Rose. If anyone saw it prior to now, you just knew she would win regardless of the stiff competition. But yeah NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN dominated with Javier Bardems win, the Coen Bros. win for Director and finally the win for best picture. Not a bad choice at all but my heart is with There Will Be Blood of course. I leave you with some sexy pics of Marion Cotillard and Amy Adams (I loved her singing but 'thats how you know' got butchered...yay for enchanted still..even though im glad the song from ONCE took the prize and how bout when Marketa got cut off and they let her come back to speak and then she had the best speech of the night) ok ok im boring you byee.

ok one more thing---Diablo Cody...uh, nice to be different all but seriously its the oscars u weirdo and ur movie sux.

oh and another reason this show was just not so good was cuz superstars were missing hardcore. next year will be better (Revolutionary Road, Doubt) but seriously

no signs of :

cruise
witherspoon
streep
smith
roberts

the list goes onnn

Sunday, February 24, 2008

he WILL win.

blown away! good job and good luck

ugh....did Garey Busey (sp? lol) just attack Jennifer Garner

so awkward but SO hilarious....the oscars are on...good times as always.....everyone looks fresh.

why is this only in US weekly?

If someone has an HQ please show me. It's Britney with the little kids teaching dance the other week. :)

this smile could kill cancer....

britney..after finally reuniting with her boys.

Caught up on the Oscar race 90%

So I just finished Michael Clayton. And boy was it a thinking persons movie. Hahaha. I was not in the mood to "Get it" but I sure did cuz it was good and I felt smart for following it. It unfolds at a dandy pace and has one hell of a clever ending..and a suprisingly touching one. Poor Michael...I wanna hang out with the guy, he'd be totally cool to play cards with! And Tilda Swinton ...boy, they ain't kiddin when they say you could win the oscar- you shady bitch! You rocked though....the movie is nominated for SO MUCH but I honestly don't know what I'd give it if I had to..oh wait, I know...Best Original Screenplay b/c it's only competetion is stupid JUNO!! God, I could have wrote a better screenplay. Yes, I'm still sweating JUNO and how much it's blown up for nothing. But oh well I can't be hating cuz I don't have any 100 mil+ movie. Ok so I am extremely sad that I missed Persepolis and The Diving Bell and The Butterly but I will atleast see 'Persepolis' before it leaves theatres...I'm part persian AND I read the books...what is wrong with that picture? Ok so I'm off to NYC tommorow...got some business to take care of ...haha no but I'll be sure to get on here Sunday and let you know of my happiness or sadness as the wins are announced. I hear it may rain, SUX!!! Goodnight!!

Not that sexy....

Sorry...I've seen split reactions over this and I've always been one to root for Lindsay but I've kinda accepted that...it...is...all...over for her. In some pics I'm like damn yummy boobies and in others I'm like ew man.... so we'll see where her career takes her but I think that some stars can hit career suicide after this kind of stuff.

Charlie Bartlett

(8.5/10)

This movie was originally scheduled for an August release, leaving its trailer floating around for almost a year now. This would have put it up against Superbad and that would have been just that, bad! Hopefully it can find an audience of its own, but with a strict R rating that is pretty much unecessary, I doubt it.

Anton Yelchin, a young talent, really shines here. His previous effort is Alpha Dog and while he did fine, the movie blew! The cast is what holds all this together. I love Hope Davis, she is soooo incredibly underrated and Robert Downey Jr. who I'm usually not a fan of, not personally but just I dunno...has impressed me lately...(Zodiac) and of course I'm excited for a little action hero movie he has on the way. He plays the principal of the school in which Charlie goes to attend after being kicked out of every other school. Posh, private schools by the way...he can't seem to stay out of trouble in his effort to make friends. Well in this school he keeps it up by faking certain syndroms to his family shrink then he goes to school and plays therapist for everyone, EVERYONE...and we all have problems right? Charlie creates havoc and drama and hilarity and yeah... some will complain that this is typical and borrows from 80s fare but hey..I'll take it. It's nice to see a teen movie that isn't just a common raunch fest like always, this has heart...and a sudden dark turn near the end either works for you or doesn't. I'd say this is Heathers meets Rushmore meets Ferris? I dunno. It's a little off balance at times but I don't have many complaints. It's a solid effort.

Catching up on Oscar fare- Gone Baby Gone Edition.

How did I miss this in theatres? How did we all miss it? With not much promo, star power or faith in its director, I can see why....but I am so happy I caught it. At first it seems typical but becomes nothing of the sort. Casey Affleck and Michelle Monahan(sp?) star as two detectives on a case for a missing girl whose mother is a complete crackwhore. But she is played brilliantly by oscar-nominated Amy Ryan- I had to see what the fuss was all about! Her screentime is minimal though but she really does shine as in your not sure whether to love or loathe her. I don't wanna give much else away from the plot but the ending will leave you stuck in a catch-22 of sorts..not knowing exactly how you wish it would have resolved. Check it out. Casey Affleck is a better actor this bro for sure, he kicked ass! But Ben behind the camera, whew! That is another story, he rocked.

Next up: Michael Clayton

Gossip Gals

So sexy.... :). I'm excited for the show to return as well as all my shows since there are so few I actually enjoy.

So much legal mumbo jumbo....

I really don't know what is going on with Britney and to be honest I'm sick of all the crap news that comes out. I'm ready for "Britney's Law" (No Joke) to take action against the paps. I want her to be sane. I think she is getting better? Who knows...

** You should download "BREAK THE ICE" her new and third single...it's really catchy and dancy and hot and I feel as if the promotion is just getting less and less but I hope she realizes that her past 2 singles have both been in the top twenty. Now imagine if she was promoting? The song is one of the strongest on the album...I hope she makes a video.

Hey guys!

Sorry I've been busy...in a good kind of hectic way?! I have some cool stuff though and of course the Oscars are sunday so that is exciting! Ciao.

Hopefully Brit can see her kids according to E!

EOnline.com: Britney Spears still has at least 10 days of quality time in the psych ward of UCLA Medical Center.

But, according to an insider closer to Spears' custody battle with Kevin Federline, the "Gimme More" singer's successful completion of her hospital stint would put her on track to regain visitation rights with her children after her discharge. "It will be monitored visitation, of course," the source tells E! News. "But still, she'll get to see her kids. They are just looking for signs that she's stabilized. But look, if she continues to take whatever medication she needs and sees her doctors regularly, they won't keep her kids from her."

Federline, 29, is aware of the possibility and isn't opposed to the visits.

"As long as she in a stable place, mentally, and there's a monitor there, he's okay with it," the source says.

Spears, 26, hasn't seen sons Sean Preston or Jayden James for more than a month. She is scheduled to remain hospitalized through Valentine's Day. The next hearing in her custody case is Feb. 19.

Separately, the K-Fed camp took a shot from Spears' side on Monday. Michael Sands, the spokesman for Federline lead attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, was the latest person to be subpoenaed in the long-playing custody clash.

Spears' legal eagles at Trope and Trope served Sands Monday, compelling him to submit to a deposition.

While Sands is not commenting on why Team Britney want to talk to him, his attorney, Randolph Wright, offers that they might be trying to press his client on what he knows about Kevin Federline's lifestyle.

"That would make sense," Wright said. "Why else bring in a top media consultant hired for Kevin's case and try to depose him? It seems to me they are trying to find out about the relationship between my client and Kevin Federline." But Wright added that he suspects Trope and Trope will gain very little by grilling Sands.

"My guess," said Wright, "is that is will be a very short deposition."

Britney graces the cover of ROLLING STONE...

But it is certainly not like one from the glory days. Although, ironically, the picture is from 2004. A simple headline that packs a punch. Since Britney herself was of course not used for the interview or story we don't know how much is fact but in the end of the day it's just sad and one can hope for a return to form health-wise and career-wise one day.

Here is a small excerpt:

" In person, Britney is shockingly beautiful — clear skin, ruby lips, a perfectly proportioned twenty-six-year-old porcelain doll with a nasty weave. She cuts through the crowd swiftly, the way she used to when 20,000 adoring fans mobbed her outside a concert, with her paparazzi boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, trailing behind."

WALL-E! and my fave superbowl ad!

I'm really glad the GIANTS pulled through. That last quarter was awesome. As for commercials- the talking stain tide pen one had me laughing sooo hard! haha check it out!

and of course Disneys new Pixar film this year WALL-E looks so funny and cute and I got a real kick out of this ad. I can't WAIT to see it :).

Ok and I can't let you go just yet----The Narnia trailer for PRINCE CASPIAN looks f'n ridiculous. I'm so excited.

Playboy loves B

Heres a bit of good news for Britney and her fans.
While many may think the contrary, Playboy thinks other wise. Playboy Magazine has given Britney Spears the #10 spot on their annual 10 Hottest Celebs in the year of 2008.

The line up also included Christina Aguilera at #9 and Angelina Jolie at #1.

PIECE OF ME TIESTO REMIX

Pure magic. Manages to give the song a suprisingly darker and emotional touch. If your going to download from Itunes- this one is it.

I can't wait to see IN BRUGES

I laugh everytime I watch the trailer. Just looks original and fun hopefully it's an early great entry in 2008.

One Republic concert.

I'm so glad I got to see them. I've been suprised at how much I enjoy a good handful of the songs on their new cd, Dreaming Out Loud! They were cool and saved my fave song for last. Best of luck guys!

The Savages

I saw this movie tonight. Finally got to catch it....um not really going to review it, it's certainly a 2007 film and I'm glad it scored Oscar nominations for Best Actress and Best Original Screenplay. Basically Laura Linney and Phillip Seymour Hoffamn are semi-estranged brother and sister who didn't have the best childhood. On finding out their father is really ill, they reunite to help him find a nursing home of some sort. Guilt and tragedy kind of take over their emotions. The story doesn't sit well all the time. It's very depressing but with enough doses of real life and comedy. I dunno...I'm a little indifferent, I liked it though. :). Loved the final scene! Sweet, tragic, cute...lots of thing.

Just pray.

Piece of Me remixes on Itunes....

Good stuff get it!..

also, Break the Ice is the official 3rd single..more word later.

yes I know Britney is in the hospital. she is in my prayers ...

lol the best skit ever

we have all had encounters like these. Anjelah Johnson is new to MAdtv. She is talented!

You don't sell over 1 million albums of your most recent work and "lose" your fans....

I don't know what to make of BLENDERS new cover. Obviously Britney wouldn't give them a photoshoot OR an interview. Why stoop so slow and make a cover story like that....I dread ROLLING STONES new one that is doing the EXACT same thing. Oh well, with or without her...they'll sell like hotcakes. Perez and Britneyboards both posted the pic and yes it hards to read but there is an alert pointing to her body (lower left) explaining how its a composite pic. Cigarettes in the mickey hat...nice touch.

SAGs....

Ok well I am SO HAPPY Daniel-Day Lewis won for my fave movie of 2007. From the beginning of the speech, I kind of knew what direction he was headed...he gave a heartfelt speech about Heath. Also, while my heart was with Cotillard, I am more than happy that Julie Christie was there to accept her win for Best Actress in Away From Her. 'No Country...' won best ensemble which sometimes can lead to oscar glory so we will see. Again, No JUNO wins = :).

Britney is hot!

Granted this video is an invasion of privacy, I just HAD to post it. She looks amazing and I'm glad she's dancing again. We get to see her boobie :):):):)! But no, no! Naughty!

Sunday, January 27, 2008

mini brit update

she looks cute to the right in a recent candid and hot to the left in an outtake from the same shoot as the one with her kids on OK! mag...i think? Her eyes..nothing like them! Also BLACKOUT won Best International Album at the NRJ Awards in France. From what I hear, it is a quite an honor and even more interesting is that she beat out Amy Winehouse, James Blunt, Rihanna and Mika (Three of whom were in attendance) Amazing, really. People with any brain know what the cd is worthy and amazing and addictive. It's just sad that she pretty much has no "Team" right now so if you watch the video, the audience goes wild but there is really no one there to accept the award. ::sigh:: but still cool nonetheless.

the SAGS are on right now...

nothing too exciting yet but THE OFFICE won best comedy series :) and Javier Bardem took home, inevitably, best supporting actor for 'no country' ill update or tom. w pics

Adnan just hit somebody while driving Britney's car.....

Seriously did I jinx myself? Atleast she wasn't driving but WHY IS SHE WITH HIM?! They hit a poor guy on a motorcyle. Get out of Brit's way!

Oh yeah overall I'm pretty mad....really, they are trying to be "hip" like last year with 'miss sunshine' by nominating JUNO in everything when the only true deserved nomination would have been for Jennifer Gardner... and I'm just over it. My faves this year just didn't match up as well but here is hoping THERE WILL BE BLOOD dominates. Also, I'm glad ENCHANTED got music nominations. I hope to see Amy Adams and Jon Mclaughlin perform :).

THE BEST FLICKS OF 2007!!!!!!!!!!

It's that time of year isn't it? I had been holding off in order to make sure I saw all the potential flicks and while there are still one or two that I have missed, I think this may be pretty definitive for now. The Oscar nominations do come out tommorow(Hopefully I'll be back to give you my input) so I can still catch up and update the list if I have to.

1. There Will Be Blood- - A dark, deep, lengthy epic story that displays what one man will do to make it to the top. The best performance of the year.

2. The Orphanage -Certainly the best horror movie in awhile. Makes you crap your pants and shed a tear at the same time. Go see it.

3. Enchanted- Pure Disney magic. Amy Adams is a joy to watch.

4. Sweeney Todd - Grim, Mysterious and Sweet. Just a fantastic, different movie. Not for the weak hearted or stomached though. Yay Helena, Johnny and Tim..hell, everyone involved!

5. Into The Wild - A movie that makes you want to change your life but then makes you take it all back....superior filmmaking from Penn and a career-uplift for Hirsch. Beautiful

6. Waitress - A truly sweet, funny, romantic gem that deserved much more praise than it got. Keri Russell is delightful.

7. The Host- A monster movie with a big heart. Tragic, scary and hilarious. Seek it out.

8. Stardust- Overlooked. Better than expected fantasy with a fun cast. Just lots of fun at the movies.

9. The Mist Being released at the wrong time hurt this one. So many monster movies lately but they are all so good. This ending packs a punch.

10. No Country For Old Men - Talented cast and skillful direction hold together this violent story.

Corruption. It happens everyday to innocent people and it will always happen as long as psycho narcissists hungry for money (Aren't we all secretly?) like Daniel Plainview are roaming the earth. Paul Thomas Anderson has always been a daring and original filmmaker who really spends time on his work. I have always admired but never loved his flicks. You may know Boogie Nights or Magnolia. The story takes place over the years from 1898 to 1927 and we see Daniel's fight for strength among the oil industry. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants, especially since he just isn't too fond of anyone but himself. Daniel's journey, from the start, seemed selfish although there were sparks of caring, especially for his son, but when a tragic event takes place, that relationship seems to change, for good. There are several other factors to the plot, yes there is a plot. But this is more about seeing what could have gone on in the developments of the early 19th century and how people faught tooth and nail for power and oil. Daniel Day Lewis plays Daniel as one sick, crazy, hilarious, terrifying man. This movie is long for sure but I didn't feel it. Some may complain that scenes of excess could be removed, but to really get a sense of the dangerous work that was being done by these men in the wells- I think you need those parts. Paul Dano plays Eli, a young man who has found God and wants nothing more than to profit from the oil in order to establish his church. The land belongs to his family and they make a deal that they can't take back.

Wonderful shots and foreshadowing. And lots of symbolisms. We can all learn something from this movie.

It is not for everyone but it is a film to be absorbed but that is not to say the story itself isn't filled with shockers. The final half hour is one of the best I've ever seen on film...dread lingers the whole 3 hours ..you just know that this may end up badly.

I'm tired but this is simply the best movie of 2007. Daniel-Day owns the role and so does Dano, I loved everything little thing about this movie.

Things looking up for Britney...with caution of course.

She FINALLY went to court for her kids. She FINALLY dumped that stupid paparazzi. She FINALLY told her fans something ("I love you"). And to add on to those bits of good news. . . People.com is reporting that she has been at Millenium Dance Studios rehearsing a new routine for what they claim is HOT AS ICE but that could be confused with BREAK THE ICE, another Blackout track. We will see but X17online.com got a little word from her in which she claims her modest hit and decent video, PIECE OF ME, is not her favorite. She looks "old school" in the video and wants to do something new and fresh. We can hope...oh yes we can. It's time to stop hating and start appreciating ..cuz my girl needs to shine. :)

I know what you're thinking...can I be serious? Well yes. Just days literally days before its release I was ranting to people like "Oh yeah another piece of January garbage....oh it's going to get the worst reviews!" and much to my suprise it didn't and as a matter of fact it stands at about 76% fresh over at Rotten Tomatoes. Anyway I knew I had to go see what the fuss was about.
The story revolves around a going away party for Rob who is leaving for Japan and his brother Jason is dating Lily who wants Jason to go around doing testimonials/goodbyes for Rob on camera, Jason hands the camera off to Hud, the resident silly guy, and he has fun with it...when the shit hits the fan Hud thinks its a good idea to record the whole endeavor and we as an audience are glad he did. Some people have complained of motion sickness but I was chillin...just don't sit too close...I don't know, I dont think it was as bad as 'blair witch' when it comes to shakiness. Oh well the night is filled with scares I mean literally this monster isn't playing games. And the little scary shits that come off of it. eeeeek! Overall the performances were good and stuff, Lizzy Caplan (Janis from MEAN GIRLS) as Melena is funny! A cast of fairly unknowns helps this to be even more believable. I don't wanna go into it much cuz it's cool to figure out the story and wonder where it will end but keep a keen eye open for lots of little clues and secrets as to the origins of this beast, esp. in the final scene. But yeah I mean there are parts when I was jumping and turning as if I was on a ride. The final 10 mins are unbelievable. I'm going to rant! Just go see it, don't nitpick just let your brain take you on an 80 min. adventure!!

Cinder Road

I don't know how long this band has been around but I'm digging this song on the radio "Should've Known Better" and apparently they are from my good old hometown of Baltimore, MD ..anyone know anything about them let me know.

How could I miss this?

JANUARY 8th was the year anniversary of my blog! Time sure does fly but its been fun for me. And hopefully for anyone who drops by every once in awhile!

The Golden Globes...lol..that didn't happen

What I am happy about: Both of the Actress wins. Both of the Actors wins. JUNO GETTING SNUBBED :). Sweeney winning!

What I'm bitter about: Atonement winning best drama! It's not THAT GOOD!

I dunno. Boring overall but kinda cool having it condensed to one hour. I just don't want that to happen with the oscars. This means I need to see The Diving Bell and The Butterfly and There Will Be Blood soon.
