Most Underrated Flicks of 2007...
I'm not going to be making my Top 10 of 2007 list early like last year. It doesn't make sense to go through the trouble if I am going to just keep updating it and since I still have a handful of movies to see first then I'll prob have it out by mid/late January. But for now I'll give you this so you can go rent them! Stardust is a fantastic movie as my review said months ago. The critics were good to it but that didn't help people from being weary of it's quality. And I'll be honest- when you watch the trailer you just can't help but think it looks cheesy. But it is a perfect movie that has something for everyone and a great cast. LOTS.OF.FUN...if you don't like it tell me and I'll send you a refund.
And as for Vacancy, - it is THE BEST horror/thriller of the year. Forget that pussified,watered-down DISTURBIA. This is what it's all about. Simple story, fast paced, lots of chills and two cool leads. In a year where scary movies were nil, this one stands out.
So yeah there you have it. Please give them a watch if you haven't.

HATCHET!
(7.5/10)
What a romp! Have any of you heard of this movie? I swear it is one of the funniest flicks I saw all year. I had heard lots of buzz about it from horror sites and apparently it got some good recognition at film festivals. It was released around here in a few areas but not for long so I never got around to seeing it but I rented it yesterday. I think if anyone is dissapointed in this movie it's gotta be because they were expecting some terrifying slasher genre revival but it was more along spoof territory for me. Granted, I did jump quite a few times! There are some excellent kills and scares in it but nothing to write about home about. The gore crosses over disgusting into silly so it won't gross you out I don't think. Anyway basically it's about this guy who goes down to Mardi Gras in New Orleans to get over a recent break-up but it's not helping so he drags his friend off to a haunted swamp tour and chaos ensues. The acting isn't top-notch but it's not bad either, assuming they are going for laughs. The stand out for me personally would be slutty vixen named Misty (Played by Mercedes McNabb omg she's pretty hot lots of boob shots she has done playboy and get this- she was the girlscout annoying camp girl that is Wednesdays nemesis in the Addams Family sequel! Haha.."Your tits are dumb!") Anyway I enjoyed this movie because it allows you to understand that it's a rather silly throwback to the old school movies right from the beginning, allowing no room for you to talk critical. One of the better "horror" movies I have seen this year no doubt.
P.S- Check out the poster--this movie has one of the best taglines EVER ...for anyone sick of typical horror movies , you will get a laugh out of it.
Catching up on Oscar fare....
I plan on watching Eastern Promises and Away From Her in the next few days since they are on DVD now. They both scored a couple Golden Globe nominations and I'm trying to get on top of my game. Anyway...
I rented La Vie en Rose like a month ago and knew it was either back to Blockbuster or watch it now. It was crunch time...I had wanted to see it and I know Marion Cotillard was winning awards and nominations left and right for her portrayal of Edith Piaf, one of the most famous singers in France or anywhere for that matter. Being my ripe young age I certainly don't know my history on Piaf but I had heard comparisons to Judy Garland in that their life was filled with talent and joy but ultimately, doomed for tragedy. Edith was abandoned as a child, losing almost anyone she grew attached to. She used her singing voice to collect money on the streets. Basically you see her work her way up to the status of a superstar but not without much drama and drugs and all that good stuff that we've come to learn from these biopics. But what makes this film rise above the rest is that the director chooses to play with our mind and constantly get out of chronological order...While at first that can be annoying/confusing, we realize it's simply the way Piaf's mind works...as her memory is slowly decreasing. People have complained of the film and it's a shame because the performance IS the movie. Not one negative thing can be said about Cotillard. She gives the best performance by a female actor that I have seen since Charlize Theron in Monster(2003). I swear if she does not win the oscar, then they do not pick the best work of the year by any means.

Give BLACKOUT a chance if you haven't...
CD's I'm loving right now....
One Republic- Dreaming Out Loud--- WOW! I thought APOLOGIZE was a Timbaland manufactured fluke but I was WRONG. Listen to it ...all the way through...on repeat.
Also Nelly Furtado- LOOSE Live in concert cd is great. Nothing beats MANEATER live...awesome rock guitar stuff. Find your favorites on here and pretend your there in person!
JUNO
(7/10)
Underwhelmed. The most suprising thing is that Jennifer Garner is superb... Ellen Page plays Juno who gets pregnant by her boyfriend-ish type guy (the awesome Michael Cera from 'superbad') and wants to give it up for adoption. I will say it doesn't follow a set path that one has come to accept. Sadly the screenplay killed it for me with the most force-fed dialogue I've seen in years. Teens DO NOT speak that way..it wasn't long ago when I was one.
Supporting performances proved the highlight for me- Allison Janney in particular and although Jason Batemens character ends up falling victim to being a creeper he still does a good job. This isn't a bad movie by any means but your watching wishing you were laughing more, smiling more...feeling more! The poignant moments are few and far between...ultimately, we don't know what Juno is thinking and what she wants. See at your own risk but the hype is ludicrous to me. . .Bye.

ATONEMENT
(7.5/10)
Well I had been excited to see this ever since I saw the trailer months ago and though some reviews tore it to threads, the majority really liked it. The problem with the film is that the book was probably really good and detailed and with the runtime being squeezed into just two hours- much is lost.
Keira Knightley and James McAvoy give great performances but their chemistry never quite clicks. An error the directors and screenwriters have made is that their love affair is supposed to be a secret from others...not from the audience! So we never get a real glimpse at what made them fall in love and why it is so special. To me the real story lays in the hands of Briony, the needy attention-seeking 13 yr. old who stumples upon a secret that she completely misunderstands. Her betrayal to her sister sets the plot on track for disaster. I won't give much away because going into this not knowing much proved a good thing for me, since the ending packs a punch! I also won't knock it for staying on a steady pace, I couldn't believe how fast the time flew by.
I just wasn't in the mood to be fooled by the amazing cinematography. The movie and sets are beautiful and intricate but no matter how well done any of that is- you can't keep a story hidden from us. I simply did NOT CARE for the romance and I wanted to. I ended up caring and feeling for Briony....and I know you want to scream "YOU #$%%# BITCH #$%%#%#" at her but we all can relate to making mistakes and assumptions. This one just...ruined lives. Anyway- please see it for yourself. It's sure to stick around for months in that it has been nominated for plenty but just keep in mind that I believe something is lacking. Bad? No. Overrated? Yes...
Golden Globe Nominations
I'm really not that excited this year...I'm hoping ONE movie grabs me and makes me love it but so far none...the globes are a little whack this year I don't see how Waitress went overlooked. Don't expect The Oscar nod's to follow suit. I'm just being grouchy though cuz I'm happy about some stuff..

Britney's PIECE OF ME video to premiere tonight!
Ok don't kill me...
And you know I am not a big TV watcher really but jesus am I (not so secretly anymore) OBSESSED with Gossip Girl ..it's just THAT good..and I never was a fan of the teen shows. Made fun of all my friends who watched and had parties for 'laguna', 'oc', 'hills'...etc. But I kept hearing genuinely positive buzz (Check out the great article in Entertainment Weekly) about the show so I downloaded the pilot off of Itunes and sure enough hours later I had the whole season on my computer and watched it all as soon as possible. Though the Thanksgiving episode unfortunately lacked, all the others killed! So suspend your disbelief and take a bite - I guarantee you'll love it...even if you can't admit it.
What have you missed...
Not much. Well Britney lost her kids...but her album came out..premiered well but sunk fast. Whose fault? No one really but Britney yet it's not her fault either- with her personal life an utter catastrophe, how on earth can she promote and enjoy it at the same time? But there are enough hits on that album to bring it back from Billboard hell if Britney chooses to do so.
Movies...No Country for Old Men and Enchanted are the best of the lot right now...go see them. Expect reviews of Juno, I Am Legend and some others in the upcoming week. (I saw Atonement today, I'll post that review in a little)
Reading has been hard to keep up with but I will over break..I don't usually talk about my reading on here? Oh well, I might. Heartsick is a killer thriller if your in the mood for one!
It's been a while...
But I'm glad you came! Sorry ya'll...with the slew of semi-bad Britney news...pretty crappy movies...and me being busy as hell with school- I had no time to dedicate myself to the blog and I certainly did not want to half-ass it. So I'm going to try to keep up with it atleast while Oscar season gets into full swing. Happy Holidays!

So please, get yourself a copy and support B!

**The artwork I showed is just rumored or fanmade. I'm not sure but the fact that the amazon.com page says 'image not available' still has me hoping for something better.

Movie Review: THE BRAVE ONE
The movies have been a little dry these past few weeks with nothing urgeing me to get out there but Oscar season is not far at all.....
the brave one
(8/10)
Jodie Foster can do it all and this movie proves it even more so. After literally loving PANIC ROOM and FLIGHTPLAN to death- I was excited to see yet another drama/thriller type movie from her. This one also starred one of my new favorite actors, Terrance Howard, and the premise seemed cool enough so I was ready.
The Brave One poses some serious questions that are hard to answer and much like another movie that I adored but critics weren't crazy about, The Life of David Gale, your personal opinions on the matters at hand can be what make or break the movie for you.
Erica Bain is a successful radio show host who is engaged to a doctor, things in her life are finally going her way but one dark night in NYC while walking her dog with her significant other, a group of gangsters up to no good jump the shit out of the two and Erica is left for dead but somehow makes it out alive while her boyfriend doesn't.
Very sad and disturbing right from the beginning and we dive into Erica's descent into madness- the incident scars her and she'll stop at nothing to kill the bad criminals of the night. But are we happy shes doing this? Justice served? How will this all end?
Terrance Howard comes into play as a detective who is on the case of these somehow connected vigilante killings, he can't seem to put his finger on it but deep down he knows Erica just may be involved. While the whole world can't even begin to think that maybe just maybe this could be done by a female. His performance along with Jodies are masterful. Instead of connecting with these characters and feeling like one of them- we are certainly on the outside looking in and we can't see, only wonder what the two are thinking.
In the end, things aren't tied up nicely with a bow or anything- we don't know how these two are going to end up---Will Erica be ok? I don't know. But some movies are good in this way in that they challenge our beliefs. But I can see how some people would absolutely hate the ending, if that makes sense. You really just got to see it for yourself even if its just for the amazing acting.
What I thought about THAT.
shambles : britney edition
alright so really when it comes to the vmas. of course I was dissapointed. I was confused, shocked, just speechless by the end..and I'm glad I made the choice to pretty much watch it alone because I wasn't prepared for how I'd feel even if it went good or bad. But something was not there, the magic was not in her eyes. and what makes most fans angry is that we know how capable she is of being amazing. whether it was anti-depressants, nervousness or my personal opinion (Realizing that Sarah Silverman is planned to go on after you, meaning only one thing: ridiucule, after MTV whores you up to high heaven in order to publicize their now crap-ridden VMA show--so what do you do? realize how much that blows and lose ur energy but at the same time, send mtv a nice little message)anyway I could go on and on with more excuses I've heard but when it comes down to it- it wasn't even the worst thing that night. and the song still kicks, your not going anywhere Britney and neither are we. On more lighter notes - the feeling I got though, seeing her up on that stage for the first time in four years- with her head turned to us and just knowing it was her up there, wow it was fantastic. But like she said "If you're looking for trouble, you've come to the right place" Oh yeah...and do I think she looked good you ask? She looked amazing.
Ya know its been a while but I'm glad ya came...
Hey D.Pop visitors, which has probably been very few as of late...its been two weeks since my last update and mainly its been school stress thats kept me from having time or motivation to come on here but yes....it's also that I didn't really know what I'd say pertaining to Britneys VMA performance...but now the calm after the storm has come....

Ew Nelly Fartado?!....
As for movies this weekend..
I really don't have time to get out there but everything has got good word. 3:10 to Yuma the new western starring Christian Bale and Russel Crowe looks tight! Also Shoot Em' Up looks fun but a little too silly for me and in limited release- HATCHET, which is supposed to be a trashy but unexpectedly pretty good and scary throw back to old school horror- I'll probably try to catch it during the week but otherwise i'm just waiting for Friday- THE BRAVE ONE!!!
Office Season 3
calm before the storm
Britney is already in Vegas and rehearsing heavily. Mtv.com states "If sceptics saw her, they'd doubt no more" So lets hope its going well! She has also been out and about hitting up PURE nightclub and running into none other than P. Diddy himself. You can also see in the pics I put - her and Chris leaving the Palm at 4:30am. Woo! Get some rest girl, your going to need it! I'm rooting for you and so are many others- I'm soooo excited! You can do it Britney! GO GO GO!

GIMME GIMME MORE GIMME GIMME NOWWW!!
AH I'm sure by now you've heard Britneys new single "gimme more" and its doing well on the charts and I'm really excited for the album. On first listen the song is just ok but then its as addicting as skittles. i LOVE it. and I'm so proud of her and yeah I'm glad she sucked it up regardless of drama and made it to the LAX opening at the Luxor hotel in vegas on friday night...she looked.. a lil tired/rough...but cute nontheless. Bring on next sunday, bring on more good news, bring on more more more cuz I'm ready...and I hope ya'll are to and most of all... I hope Britney is.
I don't even think it deserves a review...
So I'm just going to babble! I guess I'll give it a 3 out of 10...or 2 ...ok fine a 4...no, a 3. Anyway, it WAS better than Black Christmas and thats a plus but now more than ever I'm saying NOOOOOOOOOOO to a 'suspiria' remake. I actually kind of liked it in the beginning, the performances were god awful and it was cool to see a dramatic side to this 29 yr. old story...and in my mind I was like "wow this is kind of cool seeing that Michael could have been somewhat normal but circumstances drove him apeshit." Anyway, if Zombie would have just kept with that approach (It was about the first hour anyway...) He could of just made this a cool pre-quel but then it feels like it switches into another whole movie when the Laurie plot starts. Laurie IS Halloween, just as much as Michael is but in this remakes case she serves no purpose. Her friends get killed, her parents get killed and its not like she is going to care when Michael cries to her about being her Brother. GOD, Laurie is my favorite female movie character of all time. PERIOD. She makes you fall so in love in the original and in this one she was ugly, played by a talentless girl, she was not so innocent, she had a filthy mouth and could have cared less about the children...ugh I could write an essay. Anyway yeah the second half is so much worse than the first half, people just die left and right for no reason its just sick and the 500+ endings didnt help, it just dragged and when it finally comes to the conclusion its confusing, bloody and stupid. I just...I have to go..bye.
I'm Sorry Jamie, John Carpenter, the fans...
I just want to apologize on behalf of Rob Zombie for the disrespectful turd that was Halloween 2007. He wanted me to post this....
Oh and yeah ok call us "haters" and shut us up cuz it made $30 mil this weekend but DUH ...even we were curious so we saw it anyway. And I'm glad it did well even if it sucked cuz it just shows how powerful the franchise is. Nearly 30 years and going strong but on the downside that means..more crap sequels. So..someone pay Jamie $10 mil and she'll come out of hiding and do "Halloween 11 : The Final Battle" oooo! Now I'd watch that.
sorry i havent updated
school started last week and thats gonna be a pain in my butt plus i was in atlantic city all weekend until now. but i won $900 so thats a plus!

last but not least
The Best of the Best ...and the Rest :-\ - Summer 2007
Let's get down to business.
The Best
(not in any particular order)
SPIDERMAN 3: Loaded with action, humor and warmth, should have been more edgy for being the final chapter in a huge trilogy but good nonetheless, forget the haters.
Waitress: As sweet as pie and hilarious to boot. Wonderful performances, a gritty enough plot and a never to be forgotten director, RIP.
Knocked Up: The first dose of comedy from Judd Apatow this summer, a really funny movie with a good plot, tugs at your heart while still getting at the funny bone.
1408: A real mind trip. Cusack turns in another good performance. Might be too confusing for some but it was the perfect thriller for a summer with so little thrills.
Ratatouille: Not Pixar's best but still great graphics, cool setting and loveable characters.
harry 5: Simply the best yet of the series. Very dark, amazing director, and an unforgettably bitchy and juicy performance from Imelda Staunton.
hairspray: Came at the perfect time with the perfect cast. Some parts dragged esp when songs weren't powerful enough but left you dancing by the end. Pure summer fluff.
STARDUST: The BEST of the summer. Simply the whole package- Action, Horror, Drama, Romance, Comedy. And Michelle Pfiefer makes it all worth while as the most bad ass Witch since Angelica Houston in Witches so manyyyyy years ago.
superbad: The second dose of comedy from Judd Apatow. The best teen movie in years and like American Pie, manages to put both love and super sexual humor on balance. Michael Cera is a star.
honorable mentions:
28 weeks later: A really good sequel, a little over the top in the gore department.
Once: Slow but really sweet and original. Some fine music.
should have been better but not bad:
Hostel 2, Oceans 13 and Transformers.
The Poop
Pirates 3: Saved from being worse than part 2 with an ending that was good, but the first two hours of crap were unbearable.
random superbad trivia
From Entertainment Weekly: "It had a lot of titles that were bad" Says Seth Rogen(NOT pictured above), Co-Star and Writer of Superbad. "It was called The Bitter End or something stupid like that for quite some time. But we never liked any title other than Superbad, and we knew it made no sense. Don't look for meaning, it's completely arbitrary."

the new laurie strode
im not going to lie in the previews she looks rather dull but i think thats what that character needs anyway...here Scout Taylor-Compton looks gorgeous and cool on the red carpet at the premiere, there is no point in posting the other pics...its D-list city... the movies release is quickly approaching and it still seems forever away. i can't wait to see it even though i fear hating it...
britney pulled over last night
Popstar Britney Spears didn't pull over right after speeding on her way to Las Vegas last night. The Los Angeles Highway patrol officer quickly accelerated up behind her in the fast lane and put on his lights. Britney, to everyones amazement, just casually continued on her way and it took her close to one mile to finally pull over and exit the freeway, where she pulled into a gas station to see another squad car waiting and ready to intercept her. As she stopped the officers took up defensive positions with hands on their guns and torches raised whilst one slowly approached the car and identification was requested. After a quick talking to, the female officer finally realized who Britney was. Britney pleaded innocence and used the old 'paparazzi were chasing me' line. Unbelievably, she was just given a warning and sent on her way. In fact, the sternest words of the whole incident were from one of the officers towards the ever present media.

no extensions and then quickly back to blonde....
picture one: driving with no extensions = confidence, getting shit together.
picture two: hot body, hot hair ,VMAS
-She has met with Criss Angel many times and it's pretty much been confirmed that he'll be helping her put her performance together for the show. I can't wait to see what tricks are up her sleeve.
k bye.

SUPERBAD
(8.5/10)
Okay let me just be corny and say it...its superGOOD. I had the pleasure of seeing this tonight after hearing about the big box office numbers that it opened with similar to KNOCKED UP. This is one of those movies that takes place in just 24 hours. It's so weird by the previews you'd think this took place in the 70's ...I'm a dumbass but it was certainly a little theme they had going on with the style and sountrack.. Seth and Evan are best friends and do everything together- talking about girls, drinking beer, all kinds of shenanigans. But could the inseperable pair accidentally caused a problem for each other by being in such a tight knit? How will they accept the future and part ways and make other friends? Thats the serious questions that this movie poses, yes believe it or not - some of this movie makes you think about that. It's very true to life in that aspect and the makers did a wonderful job in that department and I just had to get that out there. OKAY now lets get to the fun! This movie is one of the best comedies I've seen in years, let alone best teen comedy. Its true when some critics say this is the "year that judd apatow and co. saved comedy" KNOCKED UP was only a couple months ago, two solid, quality film comedies in the same summer by the same people. The plot involves them finally getting semi-aquainted with some of the cool girls and getting invited to a party since thier friend (Fogel, Fagel, Mclovin..whatever you wish to call him haha) has a fake ID and can get the booze. Well, all kinds of hell breaks loose and the night ends up being a chase for alcohol and making it to the party on time. Like I mentioned before, this movie really balances the raunchy gross out stuff with the heart that a film like this needs to work, Think American Pie. Michael Cera as Evan was by far the best performance, he is subtle in his comedy and his prescence throughout the film making his final breakout/epiphany to Seth all the more powerful. Seth (Jonah Hill) is uber-talented in comedy as he showed in 'knocked up' earlier this year but sometimes his flip-outs were a little too much, calm down bud! And of course, Christopher Mintz-Plasse lucks out with having his first role EVER becoming so memorable as the infamous Mclovin. Bill Hader and Seth Rogen play the sleezy, drunk driving cops and their pretty funny to. The girls can't go without a compliment either, they don't have the biggest roles by any means but it was nice seeing them human-like and normal unlike most the stupid girls portrayed on film, Emma Stone as Jules was so refreshing, especially when her character provides a twist that you wouldn't expect from a high school senior. So yeah all and all this movie will leave you laughing, a little emotional and and nostalgic about your own life and choices. Nearly four years later and here we now have it-- the best teen film since the edgy and sexy Mean Girls.

STARDUST
(9/10)
The biggest suprise of the summer, in all honestly. I told ya'll I read the book and it was pretty good but lets face it the preview kind of looked silly but with the cast provided it was still promising. Anyway this movie provided everything! The laughs, the tears, the magic- the works. The story focuses around Claire Danes, a star who has fallen from the sky (sound far-fetched? It is...but after about an hour, you'll be eating it up) Anyway at the same time she falls young Tristan is trying to woo his love and proclaims that he will cross the forbidden boundary between his town and the other town to get the star and bring it back. Trouble is...the kings and witches and warlocks of the magical world are all after the star to, for their own benefit...fun ensues. Really, this is what summer movies are all about- just taking you out of your life for a good few hours. This is the kind of movie that one might not even know they'd enjoy (hence the so-so box office numbers) and thats a shame because its so much better than one would expect. The number one reason to see this movie though is Michelle Pfiefer. Forget her role in 'Hairspray' this one is even more brilliant, still a villain but her comedic timing here is so much better. I was literally laughing uncontrollably to some of her parts. Deliciously evil! Some of the plot wanders occasionally (A run in with Robert Deniro as a pirate comes to mind, still comical though) but in the end the real story comes down to Tristans final battle for love and happiness with The Star and the final battle at the witches house/castle is unforgettable. I was so on edge and it will leave you with your jaw dropped. Pfiefer gets SCARYYYY. Anyway, this movie cannot be missed and especially on the big screen but sadly I don't think any of you will actually take the time to see it. Think Labyrinth, Princess Bride...its just so fun. I will say it- This was the BEST movie of Summer 2007 and it will go unseen :-\. Hopefully this will find a life on video, classic style.

Britney to put the fire back into the VMAs?
Fan or foe, you must admit things haven't really been the same since B-girl parted ways with the award show back in 2003 but all that is about to change as inside sources reveal from E! and Rolling Stone that Britney Spears may be opening the show to kick off her much anticipated comeback. Leslie Sloan, Britney's former manager claims "If she is still doing it, this will be her best VMA performance yet." As any Britney fan knows, getting too excited usually leads to dissapointment so I'm going to just wait it out....but still, it sure is exciting.
vacancy is on dvd- please watch it.
rent it or somethin....its really good! the best horror movie of the year by far. topping the more successful 'disturbia' and '1408' in my opinion. those two were pg-13 so the better box office numbers make sense. watch this trailer and tell me u dont wanna see it....

FUELS NEW ALBUM
I didn't even know anything about it but stumbled upon it at the mall on tuesday and had to get it. Despite the newcomers and the hiatus they've been on its a suprisingly good cd. I wouldn't pass up the opporunity to get this, it takes you back to the old feel of the band but also brings something new. Check it out!

tour review: Beyonce
Well no I'm not going to really review it but I will say Beyonce is a fantastic performer. She certainly borrows from entertainers before her but nothing is denying that her voice is unstoppable. A true powerhouse. She manages to get through almost all songs shes done without ever letting it get boring. I'm not a fan of most of her solo work but she did a medley of all the Destinys Child hits and that was the highlight for me. I actually had good seats, these pics don't do it justice but all I had was a camera phone so go figure....
advertisement for britneys new perfume
Elizabeth Arden claims that it's Britney and only Britney who is in the picture. And I don't find it hard to believe but there is definetly lots of photoshop action going on. Hot hot, should stick with that hair as opposed to this black mess she's got going. Cool bottle, cool color...wonder if it smells good :)

words of wisdom from Kanye
E! News showed a video of Kanye West being asked about Britney Spears rumored performance on the VMA's, and he was like "I dont know we'll just have to wait and see and she has has such a strong impact on MTV, they wouldn't be where they would today without her."
Lets hope for a suprise performance everyone!! She finished shooting her video last night.
KITE RUNNER TRAILER
The fact that it is PG-13 worries me and the voice over in the trailer is kind of bothersome but on a more postive note its directed by Marc Forster who is behind the brilliance of Monsters Ball and Finding Neverland so we shall see! Take a look ..I'm already excited :)

"Devin, you do know Jamie Lee is a hermephrodite?"
Oh how I've been plagued over the years....well this is really cool. Over at Joblo.com they've released the top 10 hollywood urban legends and I think I can finally put my arguement to rest as Jim Law sums it up perfectly:
Was Jamie Lee Curtis born with both sexual organs? Who gives a f*ck, look at her. I've heard this for years and the only proof anyone ever comes up with is that she has a unisex name (in case the operation went wrong) and has adopted her kids. Personally, it just doesn't matter if it is true. She's one of my all-time favourite actresses and helped make the greatest horror movie ever made as unforgettable as a movie can get. And she was hot as hell in TRADING PLACES and TRUE LIES. There, I said it.
